Sunil Gavaskar’s Candid Assessment: Rishabh Pant’s Return in IPL 2024

Batting icon Sunil Gavaskar thinks Rishabh Pant could need some time to restore his fluency when he plays professionally again in the IPL in 2024. Pant is going to play in his first competitive game since that horrific car tragedy in December 2022. The BCCI and NCA have deemed the wicketkeeper batter suited for the position. But Pant may need some time to acclimate back to the game; it won’t be an easy feat to return to his best right away. It’s going to be hard. However, Pant’s experience playing cricket is a plus. After more than 14 months of a rigorous rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, Pant will be seen in a competitive match on the cricket pitch.
