Anuj Thapan, one of the defendants in the Bollywood actor Salman Khan house fire case, committed suicide on Wednesday, but his family later claimed that the Mumbai Police had killed him while he was in custody. He also insisted that his post-mortem be carried out somewhere other than Mumbai. The brother of the deceased accused, Abhishek Thapan, declared that Anuj was not the kind of guy who would commit himself and seek justice.
