Social media is in awe of a demo video that Google posted (see below), but it’s a sham. Google is still lagging behind OpenAI in terms of technological capabilities. Let us begin by discussing the specifics. The table that Google published compares Gemini to GPT-4, the top model from OpenAI.Gemini Ultra (in blue) outperforms GPT-4 on the majority of common benchmarks, according to Google’s table.
