Following the women’s team’s championship win on Sunday, March 17, former England captain Michael Vaughan thinks Royal Challengers Bangalore may end up winning both the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB ended a 16-year title drought when they defeated the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitly stadium to win their maiden WPL title. The team was led by Smriti Mandhana.

The Delhi Capitals were defeated by RCB in a thrilling match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, securing RCB’s first-ever WPL championship. There was some very good cricket in the final, particularly from the RCB squad, who dominated the match to win by eight wickets.
A crucial player, Sophie Molineux put on an amazing display that seriously hurt the Capitals batting order by taking three crucial wickets in an over.
In the end, Delhi Capitals were knocked out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. The tournament’s top run scorer, Ellyse Perry, spearheaded the RCB pursuit with a solid innings, helped along by Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine.
As they celebrated their first-ever league win, RCB and its supporters were proud of their remarkable achievement when they reached their objective in 19.3 overs.
The men’s team’s IPL 2024 campaign will kick off on day one of the competition this year. The team led by Faf du Plessis will go to Chennai to play at the legendary Chepauk stadium against CSK and MS Dhoni.
