Virat Kohli showed how to truly do it and got off to a good start in his batting: Alex Carey

According to Australia wicket-keeper Alex Carey, Virat Kohli is not someone who would pass up the chance to make a “daddy hundred” on a good batting surface. On Sunday, he demonstrated how to achieve it.
As the fourth Test reached the fifth day, Kohli had scored 186 in India’s 571, and Australia needed to bat effectively for the next two sessions to save a draw.
“No surprise, he (Kohli) got into a good hitting rhythm, went big, and really demonstrated how to accomplish it. At the conclusion of the fourth day of play, Carey remarked, “He’s a quality player and he really didn’t give us a chance.
“We anticipated that bowling to Virat would be challenging. We tried to take wickets around him and contained him as much as we could, Carey continued.
The keeper stated that he was prepared for the noise decibel levels to increase and that he expected the on-hand supporters to unite around Kohli.
“You know it’s going to be boisterous if you come to India and Virat is next in or batting, and he performed really well today. Yet I believed that we persevered admirably. Carey made it abundantly apparent in a convoluted way that an Aussie victory is utterly impossible.
He continued, “We will spend a fair amount on that first hour of cricket and then we’ll see how that unfolds. It is going to be a tremendous task clearly.” The absence of Shreyas Iyer for India was a major blow, and the visitors were pleased to preserve the lead at less than 100 (91)
“I believed we performed exceptionally well today to, I assume, reduce the lead. They obviously don’t have Shreyas (who left the field for scans and did not return) batting, so we were able to switch innings later on in the day, which was nice.
Kuhnemann appears to start
Usman Khawaja, the regular opener, was injured on his shin and was unable to come out to bat, therefore Matt Kuhnemann entered the crease to take his place. Kuhnemann bowled 25 off-break overs during India’s first innings.
Carey jokingly said, “A left-handed Queenslander like Uzzy (Khawaja).
“He immediately put up his hand and did a great job. It was probably not his day to play ball. Nonetheless, he would undoubtedly be avoided by all the boys tonight for raising his hand.
He said, “He did a terrific job with Travis (Head), but obviously the night-watchman came into play with 20 minutes to go, so send them out. It’s a tough challenge going out and facing that new ball against Indian spinners.

Curious Fans Chant ‘Ben Stokes’ at CSK Practice Game: Audience Engagement Builds for CSK’s Future with Englishman

During CSK’s practice game in Chennai, a large gathering of MS Dhoni-intoxicated fans swarmed the arena, cheering for their ‘Thala’ and crowding outside a glass-paneled gym room to cheer as he pulled down weight on a power rack. However, after 25 minutes of cheering for Dhoni, the fans started to chant ‘Ben Stokes’, which swelled around the arena like an aural wave. This was an endorsement from the Yellove faithful about CSK’s future direction, pointing towards England’s charismatic Ben Stokes. The team’s social media handles have already started billing Stokes as the ‘Chosen one’ with hit numbers from Tamil movies playing in the backdrop. Songs of Rajnikanth, which were usually reserved for Dhoni, were found in posts for Stokes. The team has had star-studded overseas players in the past, including the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Matthew Hayden, Mike Hussey, and Brendon McCullum, but none have had the sort of reception that Stokes has managed to pull off so far.

Curiosity is piqued as the Picture Goes Viral, Fans Draw Comparisons to Ronaldo and Messi, and Excitement Among Cricket Fans on Twitter!

The latest buzz on social media is the picture of Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes donning the Chennai Super Kings jersey together. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement as they witnessed two of the best all-rounders in the cricket world playing for the same team in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Jadeja has been a star player in the CSK roster, while Stokes was acquired during the auction ahead of the 16th edition of the T20 league.
The picture of the two players sitting together in a training session went viral on social media, with fans comparing the duo to football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing for the same team. The Chennai Super Kings shared the picture on their official Twitter handle, setting the micro-blogging site on fire.
Some fans are even speculating that Stokes could be a potential captaincy candidate for the team, especially with MS Dhoni expected to leave the franchise in a season or two. Meanwhile, Chennai successfully acquired Stokes’ services at a staggering price of Rs. 16.25 Cr during the IPL 2023 auction, after engaging in a bidding war with PBKS for Curran.
If Dhoni decides to retire from the franchise after this season, Stokes could be given the responsibility, given his success as England’s Test captain. Apart from Stokes, CSK also bought Ajinkya Rahane at a base price of Rs. 50 lakh. Interestingly, Dhoni, Stokes, and Rahane had previously played together for the Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL 2017.
