Pat Cummins Likely To Replace Aiden Markram As Captain for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024

The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), which is expected to start on March 22, will feature Pat Cummins as captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The Orange Army will be led by the auspicious Australian captain, who, according to Cricbuzz, won a massive contract for INR 20.5 crore in the just ended auction.

SRH won just four of their fourteen games in the IPL 2023 under Aiden Markram’s leadership, which was a miserable campaign. This is what they came to in the bottom of the points table. The question of whether to select a new captain or continue with Markram, who guided Sunrisers Eastern Cape to back-to-back SA20 League triumphs, has been up for debate.

With the ambiguity now gone, Australian skipper Cummins, who won both the World Test Championship (WTC) and the ODI World Cup in the same year, is ready to assume leadership positions for the Orange Army.
