Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green to Skip Sheffield Shield Final for IPL
Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green, all-rounders from Western Australia, will miss the Sheffield Shield final, which takes place against Tasmania on March 21. Notably, they were eliminated from the summit match since they had tickets to the 17th Indian Premier League (IPL) before it ended. Marsh, who is seen as Australia’s future T20I captain, will report to Vizag to join the Delhi Capitals team, while Green will go to Bengaluru on March 19 for the massive “RCB unbox” event.
Green has participated in a few Shield games for Western Australia. He’s hit a century this season against Tasmania, but right now he needs to perform well for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Twenty24 Indian Premier League to guarantee his spot in the T20 World Cup, which starts on June 1. In the meantime, in order to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Marsh and Green needed a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Cricket Australia for missing the Shield final.
Australian Cricketers Overcoming Injuries for IPL 2024 Campaign
After suffering severe injuries, Jhye Richardson and Ashton Turner are also anticipated to play in the IPL. Notably, Richardson missed the West Indies series due to a side string injury sustained during the BBL. He has only recently begun bowling at his maximum ability, but the Delhi Capitals and the Australian medical team will be closely monitoring his exertion.

Turner, on the other side, has not participated in a BBL game since requiring knee surgery during the previous season. The spinner was signed by the Lucknow Super Giants, where he will rejoin Justin Langer, his previous head coach.
