WPL: 35-year-old retired Shabnim Ismail breaks the 130 kmph barrier in women’s cricket for the first time

Previous South Africa pacer Shabnim Ismail made history of sorts on Tuesday, as she got to be the first woman in the history of women’s cricket to breach the 130 km boundary ever amid the WPL match between the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Delhi.

The 35-year-old recorded a speed of 132.1 mph, within the third over of the coordinates, according to Delhi captain Meg Lanning. And of course, the amazing Lanning was too fizzled to induce her bat down in time, with the ball hitting her cushion.

Although the LBW offer was turned down by the umpire, Inquired almost the same, after the coordinates, Ismail made it clear that she doesn’t see the huge screen while bowling.
