ED Informs Supreme Court: Arvind Kejriwal Stayed in 7-Star Goa Hotel at Accused’s Expense

The ED informed the Supreme Court on Tuesday that Chanpreet Singh, who is accused of accepting and handling illicit cash for the AAP’s campaign, paid for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s stay in a seven-star hotel in Goa during the state’s assembly elections in 2022. ASG SV Raju asserted that not a single testimony made during the investigation cleared Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president Arvind Kejriwal in his Supreme Court appearance on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate.

The agency informed the judge that there was no political motivation for the liquor policy case. “We have the evidence; we are not concerned with politics,” he continued. According to Raju, Arvind Kejriwal had remained at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Goa while arguing against his release on bond. It was a seven-star Grand Hyatt hotel in Goa, he said, providing evidence of Arvind Kejriwal’s hotel spending during the Goa elections.

The agency asserted that it possesses proof that Arvind Kejriwal, to create a liquor policy that would benefit businessmen, demanded ₹100 crore in kickbacks. According to the attorney, Arvind Kejriwal’s purported role was not the agency’s priority. As the investigation went on, it was said, the suspected role of the chief minister of Delhi became more apparent. The Enforcement Directorate was questioned earlier by the bench, which was made up of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta, about Kejriwal’s lawyer’s claim that the investigation wasn’t primarily focused on the agency and that the issue of bribes was raised afterward.

The fact that it took two years to investigate a case, according to Justice Khanna, was bad for all investigating agencies. “The only issue that arises is why the investigation took so long and why the questions were not asked,” the court inquired. Later, the attorney for the Enforcement Directorate retorted that the investigators operate at their own pace. Since March 21, Arvind Kejriwal has been detained in connection with a money-laundering investigation related to the Delhi excise policy issue.

She claimed that the Congress began to despise her when she went to the Ram Temple with her grandpa and erected a Jai Shri Ram banner in front of her home. Radhika Khera stated that she received criticism from the party for traveling to Ayodhya during the election season. She claimed that party leaders had mistreated her and quit the organization. She further said that she was not met by Rahul Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over the matter. She stated that for more than three years, she had been attempting to contact both Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi. The top campaigner for the BJP is Yogi Adityanath. He declared during rallies last month that the Congress intended to bring Sharia rule to the nation and let minorities butcher cows.
