Call link is a new feature that WhatsApp for Windows users can use to rapidly add other people to a call

Users may now exchange call links with others using the new functionality that has been added to the native WhatsApp Windows client, which is accessible on the Microsoft App Store. According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, the functionality is currently accessible on the official beta channel and will be made available to users over the next few days.

Similar to how a link for a Google Meet call works, WhatsApp’s new call link function will enable users to share a link to the call, allowing anyone with the link to join the conversation. You may access the capability by going to the calls tab part of the app, where you can select the type of call (audio or video). The URL can also be copied by users and quickly shared with other contacts.

Users do not need to worry about unauthorized individuals joining the conversation because WhatsApp, like Google Meet, produces a unique URL whenever you create a new call link. If you want to call someone without adding them to your contacts, it can also be helpful. The latest version of WhatsApp for Windows 2.2307.1.0 allows beta users to access the new call link feature. You might need to wait a few more days to access the feature if you can’t upgrade the app to the aforementioned version.

Since the beginning of 2023, WhatsApp developers have released a number of new features, including the ability to schedule group calls, picture-in-picture mode for video conversations on iOS, a saved message function, and a brand-new macOS client.

NASA’s newest space station crew is launched into orbit by SpaceX

Early on Thursday, Elon Musk’s rocket business SpaceX sent a four-person crew into orbit on its way to the International Space Station. Two NASA crew members were joined on board by a Russian cosmonaut and an astronaut from the United Arab Emirates.

At 12:34 a.m. EST (0534 GMT), the SpaceX launch vehicle, which consisted of a Falcon 9 rocket atop an autonomous Crew Dragon capsule dubbed Endeavour, blasted out from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The 25-story-tall spaceship was seen soaring from the launch tower on a live NASA livestream as its nine Merlin engines roared to life in billowing clouds of vapour and a reddish fireball that illuminated the night sky before dawn.

The launch attempt was scrubbed early on Monday in the closing seconds of the countdown due to a stoppage in the flow of engine ignition fluid, which delayed the mission by 72 hours. According to NASA, the issue was resolved by changing the blocked filter and purging the system.

The rocket’s top stage sent the Crew Dragon into a first orbit about nine minutes after Thursday’s launch as it raced through space at a speed of more than 20 times the speed of sound. As this was going on, the reusable lower-stage Falcon booster returned to Earth on its own and made a successful landing on the “Just Follow the Instructions” recovery ship, which was cruising in the Atlantic.

If you enjoyed your flight, don’t forget to give us five stars,” a SpaceX mission control manager was overheard radioing to the crew only moments after the capsule entered orbit.

NASA astronaut Stephen Bowen, the crew’s commander, replied over the radio, saying, “We’d like to thank you for the excellent voyage to orbit today.”

Do you wish to view deleted Instagram and WhatsApp messages? This is how

Published

on

By

There was a time when there was nothing you could do about having second thoughts after sending a text. Then the delete message and unsend options appeared, irreversibly altering the world. If you frequently think back on those earlier times, you might be relieved to learn that deleted texts can still be recovered—at least if you’re using an Android device. On the OS, there are two methods for doing that, which we have described below.

Making use of Notification History

The first technique makes use of a function that Google built into Android. Even when you dismiss a notice, it is still stored in your notification history. Swiping away any message when it is toggled on immediately moves it to the Notification History tab, where you can quickly locate it.

Funny enough, discarded messages and unsent messages on Instagram and WhatsApp function similarly. This indicates that they travel to the Notification History tab, where they remain secure and available for viewing.

For most Android smartphones, you must follow the same steps to access the Notification History tab.

1. Launch the Settings application, go to the Notifications section, and then select Notification History.

2. Switch on Notification History

3. Any deleted messages from Instagram and WhatsApp will now be accessible here.

Please be aware that a deleted message will only be retained in this tab for a period of 24 hours before it is permanently removed.

It is highly useful to use WAMR Notification History, however not all Android phones support it. For whatever reason, Xiaomi, the second-most popular smartphone manufacturer in India, disabled the capability on its MIUI skin. There is an alternative method if you use Xiaomi and your dread of missing out is starting to set in.

WAMR is a handy application for recovering deleted messages on virtually all messaging apps, not just WhatsApp and Instagram. Additionally, WAMR goes above and above by permanently keeping deleted messages, in contrast to Notification History, which erases your priceless messages after just 24 hours. Follow the instructions listed below to begin using it.

1. Use the Google Play Store to get WAMR.

2. Launch the application and give it the required permissions, such as notification access

3. Choose the programmes for which you want to save records. You’ll be sent to the page where deleted messages will begin to show once the setup is complete.

5. To switch between apps, tap the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.

Keep in mind that allowing an app notification access allows it to see all of your alerts, which may contain private data like contacts, messages, and photographs. Even if WAMR appears secure, as shown by the hundreds of thousands of favourable reviews, it always pays to use caution.
