Will This Be MS Dhoni’s Last IPL? Chennai Coach Drops a Hint

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, continues to attract a large number of spectators wherever he plays. It is believed that this could be his last IPL season, and the fans are making sure to show their love by wearing Chennai’s yellow jersey and coming out to the ground in large numbers.

However, Stephen Fleming, the coach of the CSK team, recently made a statement that could be a shock to the fans. While he did not give any indication about when Dhoni will retire, he stated that the former Indian captain has not given any such indication either. It is still unclear when Dhoni will play his last match, but Fleming’s statement suggests that the cricketer might play in the next season as well.

Dhoni, who has led the CSK team since 2008, has won four IPL championships under his captaincy. He has been in excellent form this season, with his bat speaking for him. Although he is coming to bat at number 8 this year, he has scored 74 runs in 6 innings, with an average of 211.43 and 8 sixes to his credit. Under his captaincy, CSK has performed well, winning five out of nine matches and currently ranking fourth on the points table.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Dhoni’s future in IPL, the fans continue to support him and the team. The cricket legend has left a lasting impact on the game, and his contribution to Indian cricket will always be remembered.
