Kylie Jenner speaks out against beauty standards in new episode of ‘The Kardashians’

Kylie Jenner

In a recent episode of “The Kardashians,” famed reality TV star Kylie Jenner expressed her concerns about her family’s “beauty standards.” The 25-year-old cosmetics tycoon said they wanted to have a “bigger conversation” about the expectations being set for beauty since she didn’t want her daughter to follow in her footsteps.

Kylie, who is married to Travis Scott and has two children named Stormi and Aire, didn’t go into detail about her beauty regimen but admitted to using lip fillers in the past. She claimed that getting fillers was the “best thing” she had ever done and that she doesn’t regret it, despite having insecurities about her lips.

In a recent interview with HommeGirls, Kylie dispelled the misconception that she was an insecure person who had undergone extensive surgery on her face. She stated that she had always been the most confident person in the room and enjoyed performing for everyone. She further described makeup as a form of “self-expression” and credited it as one of the reasons for her success with Kylie Cosmetics.

Kylie’s comments bring to light the issue of beauty standards that celebrities and influencers set for their followers, particularly young women. While makeup and cosmetic procedures can be empowering, there is a fine line between enhancing one’s features and succumbing to societal pressures to conform to a particular standard of beauty. Kylie’s candid conversation about her own experiences could encourage others to reflect on their beauty choices and make informed decisions.

Previously, in a select discussion with News18 Showsha, Imtiaz talked about almost getting Diljit and Parineeti on board when he clarified why it was vital for him to cast performing artists who are also singers. “It was obligatory for me to cast performing artists who are vocalists as well. It was vital for them to sing live. This film wouldn’t have been conceivable without them. It’s not like Diljit didn’t prepare a parcel like Parineeti did, but he does live singing and is used to it. They both recorded the melodies after singing them live. The reason behind this is that I’ve never had artists sing live during a shot. I thought that in case the live singing doesn’t work out, we can continuously utilize the recorded adaptation and utilize it as playback, like we more often than not do,” he said.
