IPL Owners and BCCI to Re-evaluate Mega Auction Rules and Retention Policies in Upcoming Meeting on April 16

The owners of  IPL teams will have a meeting with the senior leadership of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during the Delhi Capitals vs. Gujarat Titans game on April 16 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The owners of the ten teams have purportedly gotten a greeting from BCCI to a relaxed gathering. Possible expansions in the closeout satchel for the groups and player maintenance might be talked about.

There’s no predetermined schedule. It will be an excellent moment for all stakeholders to get together as the IPL enters its second month, a BCCI official told PTI.

Key Discussions and Potential Changes for IPL Mega Auction 2025

Most likely talks on player retention and the possible rise in the auction purse, which is currently at Rs 100 crore, at the major auction that is scheduled for later this year. Attending the meeting will be chairman Arun Dhumal, president Roger Binny, and secretary of the BCCI Jay Shah.

How much cash that teams can make is raised by Rs 5 crore, and five players might be held before the  2025 auction. The Indian Premier League franchisees are entitled to match the winning offer price of their former players in the league’s big auction.
