India Secures Hosting Rights for Three ICC Events in the Next Decade

Points Table

The eagerly awaited World Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place in India from October to November this year, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has begun preparations for the prestigious tournament. The first match is set to be played on October 5, with the final match scheduled for November 19.

BCCI

In a recent announcement, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the host countries for its major events over the next 10 years. India emerged as the proud host of three ICC tournaments. Following the World Cup 2023, the T20 World Cup 2024 will be jointly held in the West Indies and America. Subsequently, the ICC Men’s Championship Trophy is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in 2025. India and Sri Lanka will co-host the T20 World Cup in 2026. South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia will organize the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2027. Australia and New Zealand will be the hosts for the 2028 T20 World Cup. India will once again host the ICC Men’s Championship Trophy in 2029. Finally, India and Bangladesh will co-host the ICC World Cup in 2031.

The BCCI’s continued dominance in cricket is evident as it secures hosting rights for three ICC events in the next decade. Furthermore, the ICC recently released its new finance model, resulting in India’s share increasing to 38.5 percent. This means that the BCCI will now earn a staggering ‚āĻ1,887 crores annually, surpassing any other cricket board. The England Cricket Board stands at second place with an annual earning of ‚āĻ339 crores, followed by Cricket Australia with around ‚āĻ308 crores.

With India’s prominence as a cricketing powerhouse and its strong financial position within the ICC, the nation continues to solidify its status as a preferred host for major cricket tournaments in the years to come.

Pooran has smoked this for a maximum over deep midwicket after Chakravarthy made a rank full toss. In 13.1 overs, LSG reached 100. Pooran isn’t really making much of a connection when Chakravarthy throws the ball wide outside of him. Chakravarthy crosses him again, and he misses another cut.
