Haryana’s Nuh District Suspends Mobile Internet after MLA’s Arrest

The Haryana Government on Friday ordered the suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in the district for two days to stop “the spread of misinformation and rumours” after Congress MLA Mamman Khan was detained in connection with the July 31 communal violence in Nuh. However, a government decree in this respect makes no mention of Khan’s detention.
According to the order issued by TVSN Prasad, additional chief secretary for the home department, “This order is issued to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of Nuh district and shall be in force with effect from September 15 (10am) to September 16 midnight.”
“The mobile internet has been suspended,” he declared. This is to stop the spread of false information and rumours through social media platforms, like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. on mobile phones and SMS, to facilitate and mobilise mobs of agitators and demonstrators who can seriously cause loss of life and damage to public and private properties by engaging in arson or vandalism and other types of violent activities.
In the Nuh district’s jurisdiction, Prasad’s directive states, “I do hereby order the suspension of mobile internet services (2G/3G/4G/5G/CDMA/GPRS), bulk SMS (except banking and mobile recharge), and all dongle services, etc. He stressed that the exemption of individual SMS, mobile recharge, banking SMS, voice calls, internet services supplied by broadband, and leasing lines of corporate and private families was done so with the utmost consideration for the convenience of the general people”.
According to the ruling, this guarantees that neither the state’s commercial or financial interests nor the essential domestic necessities of people be harmed.
Security stepped up after Mamman Khan’s arrest
The Ferozepur Jhirka Congress member Mamman Khan was listed as a suspect in a FIR filed in response to the racial disturbances. The Haryana Police reported that he was taken into custody late Thursday night.
Khan was identified in one of the FIRs filed to investigate the Nuh violence, the state administration had told the Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday. In his court filing, the Congress MLA requested protection against “false implication” and his arrest in relation to the events on July 31.
The MLA petitioned the high court after receiving a notification from the police to participate in the inquiry. On account of his health, the Congress MLA opted out of the investigation.
When the issue came up for court on Thursday, the state administration said that, contrary to what the MLA claimed, it was discovered during investigation that the MLA was located within 1.5 kilometres of the scene of the violence that took place on July 29 and 30, according to the position of the tower.
Following Khan’s arrest, sufficient police resources have been placed in the Nuh district. The court complex, where Khan is anticipated to be presented by the police later today, has been given a high level of protection.
Following the incident on July 31, the Haryana government also temporarily halted mobile Internet connectivity in the area last month.
On July 31, crowds in Nuh assaulted a march headed by the Vishva Hindu Parishad. Six individuals died, the most of them during the assault. In a connected attack on a mosque in neighbouring Gurugram, a priest lost his life.
Haryana unit of Bajrang Dal quits in protest
To protest the arrest of their members Mohit Yadav, alias Monu Manesar, and Raj Kumar, aka Bittu Bajrangi, the entire Bajrang Dal unit in Haryana resigned from their positions on Thursday. The unit charged Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister, with failing to support right-wing groups in relation to the Nuh violence.
The arrest of Monu, who was handed over to the Rajasthan Police in connection with the deaths of two Muslim men in Bhiwani, and Khattar’s denial of a government post to a Panipat Bajrang Dal worker who died during the Nuh violence infuriated the activists.

Controversy Surrounding Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s Death and Sikh Politics in Canada

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the operational chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force, was killed extrajudicially on June 18 according to accusations made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in front of the Canadian Parliament. New Delhi is still waiting for Ottawa to identify the assassin Indian agent and provide proof of the same.
The unconventional Canadian Prime Minister and his Foreign Minister continued to criticize India despite the fact that the Canadian police have stated that an investigation is still ongoing. He used intelligence from the Five Eyes partnership as the foundation for his “credible allegation”.
Events since the July 15, 2022, shooting death of Ripudaman Singh Malik in Surrey, British Columbia, a Sikh activist who had been cleared in the 1985 Air India Kanishka terror bombing, have been stitched together by Hindustan Times to demonstrate the toxicity of Sikh politics in Canada. Although Canadian Mounties detained two people, Tanner Fox from Abbotsford and Jose Lopez from New Westminster, the inquiry did not go into the assassination’s plot or the roles that Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Moninder Boyle played in the murder.
Ripudaman Singh Malik’s rivals used Fox and Lopez as hitmen; Malik had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a letter written in February 2022 for his efforts on behalf of the Sikh community in India; however, the investigation into the conspiracy was never carried out because of the Justin Trudeau government’s vote-bank politics.Nijjar was shot by an assassin on June 18 in the same Surrey town where Malik was murdered a year earlier. Nijjar served as the KTF chief in Canada as well as the representative of the banned Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a terrorist group run by dual national G S Pannu.
After Malik returned from India in 2019 having undergone a transformation, the Guru Nanak Temple and former President Moninder Singh Boyle of another gurudwara, Sri Dashmesh Darbar, along with their posse of radicalized local media, began persecuting Malik. After meeting with the Akal Takht Jathedar and SGPC representatives in India, Ripu Malik received formal approval from the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) to print copies of the Sri Master Granth Sahib (SGGS) at his office in Canada. Nijjar and Boyle started a full-fledged campaign against Malik and harshly denounced the Jathedar and the SGPC after fearing they were losing control of the Khalistan cause in the unremarkable Surrey town in the back of beyond BC, Canada.

Then, Nijjar, Boyle, and their radicalized Sikh gang launched a campaign against Malik by distributing false information that the SGPC should retract its approval of the Holy Book issued by the Kanishka bombing suspects because it was “beadbi” full of errors. Akal Takht Jathedar requested that the British Columbia Gurudwara Council remove all printed copies of SGGS from Malik’s property in response to mounting demand. The printing equipment was also taken away by Nijjar and Boyle right away, but they refused to give it back even when it was discovered that the Holy Book was error-free.
