Manoj Tiwary Predicts Hardik Pandya to Face Louder Booing in Mumbai as MI Captaincy Replacement Shocks Fans

Among the top three teams in the IPL with the most devoted fan bases are probably the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians. As Hardik takes the field as the MI captain at Wankhede Stadium, former India batter Manoj Tiwary thinks he will hear the most jeers. The reason for this is that the group decided to select Hardik as captain rather than Rohit Sharma. When it comes to most captain victories in the IPL, Rohit and MS Dhoni are tied. Everybody has five titles, even Rohit and Dhoni. However, MI and Rohit have not performed well over the past three years.

Plans for Hardik’s MI captaincy debut did not work out, as the five-time winners fell short against the run-up GT in the previous season. Their first home game is scheduled for April 1 against the Rajasthan Royals; however, their next game is against the Sunirsers Hyderabad. “And Rohit has to give up the captaincy even though he gave the Mumbai Indians five trophies.” I’m not sure why, but I get the impression that the fans are not too fond of it. And that’s the response you witness on the pitch,” he clarified. But Tiwary is pleased with Pandya’s handling of the criticism from fans. “Knowing him, whatever I have been observing of late through television, despite getting bored, he kept his calm, he kept his nerve, which is the sign of a good temperament,” he continued.

In order to be in top shape for the T20 World Cup, which begins in the Americas on June 1, the 38-year-old stated that Pandya will need to tune out the distractions and concentrate on his performance. “I think he needs to perform well to be selected for the Indian World Cup squad, even if he wasn’t jeered. For all players to be eligible for selection, they must both perform well and be in good physical condition.
