Hardik Pandya Hails Shubman Gill’s Spectacular Innings as Gujarat Titans Secure Spot in IPL 2023 Final

Hardik-Pandya

An exhilarating Qualifier 2 unfolded in IPL 2023 today at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans faced off against Mumbai Indians, with Gujarat Titans batting first and setting a challenging target of 234 runs on the board, thanks to a magnificent century by Shubman Gill. Mumbai Indians, however, had a challenging start in their chase.

Nehal Wadhera, who replaced the injured Ishan Kishan, departed early, dampening Mumbai’s hopes. But Suryakumar Yadav’s valiant efforts reignited the team’s pursuit of victory. Unfortunately, Mumbai fell short as Gujarat Titans emerged triumphant by a margin of 62 runs. Following the victory, Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya commended the performances of Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan.

In the post-match presentation, Hardik Pandya delivered a resounding statement. Reflecting on the intense encounter between the two strong IPL teams, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Hardik expressed, “I believe the players who perform well put in a lot of hard work. Their consistent practice is evident. The clarity and confidence with which they approach the game is truly amazing.”

Praising Shubman Gill’s outstanding innings, Hardik remarked, “Today’s innings was exceptional. Shubman never seemed rushed; it felt like he effortlessly dispatched every ball. He possesses the potential to become a superstar in both international and franchise cricket. I often have conversations with him, and he understands his responsibilities.”

Regarding the upcoming IPL 2023 final and the team’s veteran spinner Rashid Khan, the Gujarat skipper stated, “We have spoken enough about Rashid. I have complete faith in him when the team faces challenging situations. We need to play good cricket, giving our utmost effort. Knockout matches can swing either way, but I am eagerly looking forward to the final.”

Hardik Pandya’s appreciation for Shubman Gill’s sublime century and the team’s collective efforts reflects the Gujarat Titans’ determination to excel in the highly anticipated IPL 2023 final.

Rana fails to bowl. A slower one outside to Pooran, which is represented by a dot ball. This is referred to as being too wide outside. Once more, pace off while angling away outside. It crosses the short-third for a boundary as Pooran slashes at it forcefully. Once more, the outside off is too wide; an additional run to Lucknow. For LSG, that means 150 up in 18.2 overs. QUARTER! Short, pulled by Pooran, who gains a leading edge, and that eventually trickles away for a boundary because the fielder is inside the circle. Pooran fails to connect on this one as it is wide and full outside off. Since he thinks this is a wide, he goes up for review. The third umpire has determined that was a fair delivery.
