Swati Maliwal Breaks Down in Court During Bibhav Kumar’s Bail Hearing Over Assault Allegations

At Bibhav Kumar’s bail hearing for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s assistant, who was detained for allegedly assaulting Maliwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal lost it on Monday in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court when the defense attorney was arguing. The AAP MP entered Kejriwal’s home without permission, according to senior attorney N Hariharan, who is representing Kumar in court. Bibhav Kumar wasn’t inside the CM’s residence at that time.

Would anyone be able to enter in this way?The chief minister resides here officially. Her arrival was not announced in any way, and she didn’t have a scheduled time for the encounter. At the moment, Kumar wasn’t around. When she was halted by security, she asked to speak with Kumar while sitting in the waiting area, according to the defense attorney. There was “no grievous injury” to the AAP MP, he added before the court.

“Examine the location of the purported incident, where a large crowd was present. In what way is this location—CM’s home—where such an incident can occur? The question of whether culpable homicide does not qualify as murder is not raised because there is no significant harm to the important portion. According to him, the wounds may have been self-inflicted. Maliwal’s accusations, according to the defense attorney, “do not make out a case of intention to disrobe her.” The AAP MP sobbed in court after making this claim. The accusations made by Maliwal, according to N Hariharan, were all “pre-planned” and “tailored” to “suit her story.”

“Afterthought led to the completion of this FIR.He told the judge, “I am merely asking for bail; I am not asking for an acquittal. After Maliwal accused Bibhav Kumar in a formal complaint of beating her on May 13 at Kejriwal’s house, Bibhav Kumar was taken into custody on May 18. Kumar repeatedly slapped her and kicked her in the stomach and pelvis, according to the FIR. Sections 354, 506, 509, and 323 of the IPC, which address offenses like assault or criminal force on a lady with intent to insult her modesty and criminal intimidation, are where the police filed a FIR against Kumar after receiving the complaint.

Later, Kejriwal’s assistant reported to the Delhi police that the AAP MP had mistreated him with the intention of assaulting him. After Kumar filed a bail request at the Delhi court on Saturday, the court requested an answer from the Delhi police regarding the situation.

PM Modi Likely to Maintain Continuity in National Security Leadership for Third Term

Hindustan Times

PM Modi Likely to Maintain Continuity in National Security Leadership for Third Term

It is anticipated that, in his third term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will opt for continuity in the leadership of the nation’s security apparatus by retaining his position on the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). On June 13, Modi is expected to travel with Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor, to the G-7 meeting in Italy. We are expecting orders to proceed from the NSA and Principal Secretary to the PM, Dr. P. K. Mishra. The time has come to choose Tapan Deka, the Director of the Intelligence Bureau, who has done a fantastic job in providing internal intelligence against Islamists and Maoists in the nation, even if PM Modi would have to make a decision regarding the next Army chief. June 30 is when Deka, a leading authority on counterterrorism, is supposed to finish his two-year assignment.

The PM can choose to appoint Lt General Upendra Dwivedi, the senior most Army Commander, who has served as Northern Army Commander for two years and has first-hand knowledge of Indian adversaries to the north and west, as Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande is set to reach superannuation on June 30th after a stellar innings. In addition, General Dwivedi has firsthand knowledge of the cross-border terrorism that occurs in the Rajouri-Poonch area; the most recent event, the firing in Reasi, claimed the lives of ten Hindu pilgrims. It is not expected that extreme steps will be taken to control a ship the size of the Indian Army, even though the PM and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have other options.

India will need to increase its domain awareness in relation to China and Pakistan in addition to self-proclaimed adversaries like Canada, the UK, Germany, and Turkey if it is to become a global force in Modi 3.0. In other words, India needs to strengthen its own resources in order to be competitive and cannot rely on pooled external intelligence. It is imperative to properly counteract the role played by the Chinese, Western, and Pakistani media during the 2024 election campaign against Prime Minister Modi, in the same way that anti-India forces must be neutralized. PM Modi already has firsthand knowledge of what to anticipate from the western media during his third term, having conducted no fewer than 83 interviews with them in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.

But China’s PLA Navy is growing quickly in the Indo-Pacific, and the US Navy, which was once the strongest, is clearly unsure it can defeat Beijing, as evidenced by the Biden administration’s mixed signals. India’s largest challenge will come from the maritime sector. The enormous Communist state is likely to force the littoral governments to submit, prompting the Chinese Navy to launch long-range incursions into the Indian Ocean region. As it stands, China’s Belt Road Initiative has put the Indian neighborhood in grave debt, and that fact alone will give the Xi Jinping administration a great deal of leverage.

In this regard, to properly control the Chinese threat, the Modi administration must expand its island possessions as a component of the marine security architecture. Rafale maritime fighters are needed by India as of yesterday to strengthen the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier and create security advantages in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. The national security doctrines of India must be adjusted to handle future concerns, just as the west did nothing when China violated the boundaries of Ladakh in May 2020. India must be ready to take on the PLA Navy in the Indo-Pacific on its own.

Narendra Modi Thanks Elon Musk, Promises Strong Business Environment in India

Narendra Modi Thanks Elon Musk, Promises Strong Business Environment in India

The leader of the NDA in parliament and the incoming prime minister, Narendra Modi, thanked Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, on Saturday for wishing him luck in the 2024 Indian general elections. In response to the billionaire’s well-wishes, Prime Minister Modi said that the country’s youthful population, stable democratic government, and uniform policies will maintain an investment-friendly business climate.

I appreciate your nice remarks, @elonmusk. All of our partners will continue to have access to a stable democratic political system, our smart young people, predictable policies, and a stable demographic,” he wrote in a post on X. Musk wished Modi well and discussed the future of his businesses in India three days after the results of the Lok Sabha were made public on Tuesday. “Congratulations @narendramodi on winning the biggest democratic elections in history! Anticipating my businesses to undertake fascinating projects in India,” he remarked.

After BJP Parliamentary Party leader Narendra Modi was chosen and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners filed their letters of support, President Droupadi Murmu named Modi as the prime minister-designate on Friday. Out of 543 parliamentary constituencies, the opposition’s INDIA group won 234 seats in the most recent elections, while the BJP-led NDA got 293 seats. There are numerous rumors that Musk intends to establish his first Tesla facility in India in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, or Gujarat. The carmaker’s possible $3 billion investment would coincide with India lowering import duties on some electric vehicles earlier this year for automakers that pledged to contribute at least $500 million.

Musk was planning to travel to India from April 20 to 22, but his visit was unexpectedly called off. He called off his trip due to important commitments at Tesla, but mentioned he intends to visit the country later in the year. Modi was commended for winning the elections by a number of notable businesspeople and world officials, including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Joe Biden, and French President Emmanuel Macron, in addition to Musk.
