As the GOATs reunite, viral videos like “The Way Lionel Messi Looks At Cristiano Ronaldo” break the internet

Fans’ aspirations of seeing Cristiano Ronaldo play against Lionel Messi were dashed when he relocated to Saudi Arabia and joined Al-Nassr in a deal that could be worth USD 200 million. Nonetheless, the two greatest players in the history of the Beautiful Game were seen together once more when Ronaldo played for an All-Star XI on Friday against Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly match. Millions of people flocked in front of their televisions to watch the two GOATs square off once more as demand for tickets at King Fahd Stadium had already surged.

When Ronaldo greeted his greatest opponent Messi, the internet erupted. Ronaldo was meeting up with a lot of buddies, including Sergio Ramos and Neymar. Social internet is awash with videos of Messi and Ronaldo’s meet and greet.

During the game, PSG was down to 10 men as Juan Bernat was dismissed early on. Messi opened the scoring for the French team as they went on to defeat Al Nassr-Al Hilal XI 5-4.

Ronaldo scored a few goals as well, but it wasn’t enough to keep his squad from losing to the strong Europeans.

Messi and Ronaldo were the first to score, with the Argentine legend doing so just three minutes in. This was only fitting. In the 34th minute, however, Ronaldo rallied and converted a penalty kick.

In the 44th minute, defender Marquinhos gave PSG the advantage once more. Nevertheless, in the final seconds of the first half, Ronaldo scored his second goal to tie the game.

In the second half, the back-and-forth continued until Sergio Ramos gave PSG a fleeting 3-2 advantage (at 53′). Three minutes later, Jang Hyun-Soo tied it at three.

At the 60-second mark, French phenom Kylian Mbappe gave PSG a new lead with a goal off a penalty kick.

Ronaldo (61′) and Messi (62′) exited the pitch shortly after.

PSG’s advantage was increased by Hugo Ekitike, who scored in the 78th minute to make it 5-3. Al Nassr never gave up, and late in the game (90′ 4″) Anderson Talisca earned his team a fourth goal, but it wasn’t enough.

It was “great to see some old friends,” Ronaldo wrote in a stunning social media post after the game.

IPL 2024: LSG vs CSK Match Prediction – Who will win today’s IPL match?

The seventeenth Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take place at the renowned Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 19.

At the present time, the group captained by KL Rahul is positioned 6th in the standings. LSG has figured out how to win three of the six games that have been played up to this point. The Lucknow-based group battled powerfully with their batting determination in their latest matchup against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), unfit to set up a significant score on the ground that favors batting. As KKR effortlessly pursued down the score, their bowlers gave off an impression of being confused for replies in the center.

Pitch Report

The Ekana Cricket Arena in Lucknow is known for its pitch which will in general be on the more slow side. Subsequently, lower-scoring matches have been on the cards on most events before. Subsequently, this element is expected to stay comparable when the setting has its fourth IPL 2024 apparatus on Friday. The group that wins the throw will probably pick to bat first.

Head-to-head Records

Lucknow and Chennai have gone head to head in three IPL matches to date. Chennai arose triumphant in one match, Lucknow won another, and one match finished without an outcome. Lucknow’s most noteworthy absolute against CSK remains at 211, while Chennai’s most elevated score against LSG is 217.

IPL 2024: LSG vs CSK Live Score – Lucknow Ready for MS Dhoni Special, but Loyalty Remains with KL Rahul

The LSG vs CSK play this Friday at home in Ekana Stadium. There is a minimal chance of a comeback after the team’s flaws were exposed after two straight losses. CSK turned things around and won their next two games to resurrect their campaign and climb to third in the standings after dropping their opening two games. LSG is fully aware that a mistake now might hurt their prospects of making it to the postseason.

No team has reached the 200 mark in the three games that have taken place at this location. Furthermore, against the Delhi Capitals, LSG has successfully protected scores of 199 and 163 but has failed to defend 167. Their ability to hold teams to scores of 160 or more does not, however, excuse them from their batting shortcomings, as their top order has failed to produce. Quinton de Kock has not performed well at bat since his return; captain KL Rahul has struggled to turn around the bat; the No. 3 spot is a worry; and Marcus Stoinis appears to be acting strangely. Nicholas Pooran bears the brunt of middle-order failure most of the time.

Of all the teams this season, LSG’s scoring rate during the powerplay and the final overs is the lowest. It would become difficult for the LSG hitters to contend with the strong bowling assault of CSK if they were unable to close these gaps. Since Ruturaj Gaikwad is playing well at the top and Shivam Dube is in form to handle the middle overs, CSK’s batting problems are not as serious as LSG’s. Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra would have preferred for CSK to start the game. Given his solid bowling record against the LSG, Moeen Ali might be on the team from Chennai to take Daryl Mitchell’s spot, who is having a difficult time.

Should Mayank Yadav make a comeback for the match, it will be a huge advantage for LSG to play at home. Conversely, Devon Conway has been declared ineligible for the 2024 Indian Premier League, and CSK has signed Richard Gleeson in his place. Red soil, which was utilized in the encounter between LSG and Punjab Kings, where LSG successfully defended 199, will be the playing surface for this match. The surface should help with batting and quicks; thus, CSK would be glad to use their two most experienced pacers, Mustafizur Rahman and Shardul Thakur, with help from Tushar Deshpande.

At the team hotel, Rahul shared his birthday cake, with head coach Justin Langer receiving the first slice. Even with a 39-run contribution from the captain, the Lucknow Super Giants were only able to muster 161 in the opening innings. The two-time winners easily won by eight wickets thanks to an undefeated 89-run performance from Phil Salt, the opener for the Kolkata Knight Riders, in the second innings.
