Release of the biopic “Amar Singh Chamkila” Introducing the “Elvis of Punjab,” who passed away at the age of 27

Thirty-six years after his passing, the life and times of the killed Punjabi people symbol Amar Singh Chamkila, broadly called the ‘Elvis of Punjab’, are back beneath the spotlight. On Friday (April 12), the biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, coordinated by Imtiaz Ali and featuring performing artists Diljeet Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, was released on Netflix.
