LSG Bowling Coach Morne Morkel Reveals Mayank Yadav’s Return Date for IPL 2024

Regarding the fitness of their express pacer, Mayank Yadav, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has provided an important update. He said the team means to use him against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 27, 2024, in the IPL.

Mayank, who had an extraordinary beginning to the IPL with taking three wickets against both the Punjab Kings and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has been out of the game since April 7 because of “”sorenes in the lower stomach region”. On Tuesday, April 23, the eve of Lucknow’s rematch with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Morkel disclosed that Mayank had stayed in Lucknow and was ready to make a move against the Sanju Samson-led team.

To allow him an extra two or three days without traveling, he stayed behind in Lucknow. He’s in Lucknow working and preparing with Lance Klusener, the assistant coach, and the other guys. Morkel said the 21-year-old has made remarkable development in his most recent performance, as he routinely hits the 150 kmph barrier.

Since he has only been bowling for three or four days, it is just a matter of time before people expect him to bowl every ball at 150 kmph. The coach said, “The goal is to really put his body and mind in that kind of state where he’s confident, running and bowling all four overs at a tight pace.”

Morne Morkel also stated that MS Dhoni’s vast experience and a solid coaching team will help IPL powerhouse CSK prepare well for the next match. But he added that LSG will go into the Chennai game with confidence after defeating the reigning champions by eight wickets in the previous game.
